Message from the current AMSA President:
"The American Medical Student Association is a national organization with a rich history in championing socio-medical issues and preparing both premedical and medical students for their future careers. Our local chapter here at UTEP aims to prepare and create competitive medical school applicants. Our organization meets every other Wednesday at 5 PM and features speakers who can provide unique insight into different aspects of the medical field. Our previous speakers include: advisors and professors from Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, physicians from different specialties, admissions faculty from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, medical student panels, and more. We also aim produce holistic applicants by providing volunteer and social opportunities.
